Welcome to Dr. Stymie’s Lab Music Division, where musicians are expected to play the correct notes, maintain perfect tempo, remember where they’re going, stay in formation, and somehow do all of it while walking backward.
Marchingbandology 201 investigates the fascinating relationship between music, movement, rhythm, formations, drill, dynamics, endurance, and the mysterious ability to count to eight indefinitely.
After extensive research conducted under stadium lights, Dr. Stymie developed the official marching band equation:
